For Cabelas: We stayed at Cabela’s in their parking lot. We pulled in behind another RV. They told us they had talked to the manager & she didn’t say yes but she didn’t say no either. It was at our own risk. It was a quiet place & the next morning we found a potable water faucet in the parking lot but didn’t try it. Great place next door for dinner!

For Cabelas: After reading all the reviews, I called Cabela’s tonight and I found out the whole story from the manager Brian. A couple of years ago a couple of RVs had their generators stolen and they turned around and tried to blame Cabela’s so shame on us!!! Brian said you can park/sleep there a night or two but don’t be out in out camping there….
I think we all should go buy stuff from this store and make a point of being friendly with Brian and rebuild the bridges of gratitude and community.

For Cabelas: Didn’t stay here. We called and were told that this location no longer allowed overnight stays due to city policy. Unlike other reviewers we weren’t given a hint that we’d be okay to stay anyway, so we didn’t chance it. Perhaps it’s fine to just show up and park anyway, but we were told not to.

For Cabelas: We just stayed overnight while heading home from out west. We did not call ahead. We arrived late and left early. It was very quiet for being so close to the interstate. There were a few other campers there. I would easily return.
While this was a great place to stay, it is apparently no longer allowed. An employee pulled up and honked late at night and then early in the morning. They also placed a flyer under our windshield wiper that said that their parking lots are intended for day use only and not overnight, but we did not see it until morning. At the entrance to the parking lot, there was a paper posted that stated that it was a city-wide restriction for overnight parking, but since other reviewers said that management did not mind, we pulled in anyway.
Note: This was at the beginning of Sturgis Bike Week. That may have something to do with the more strict enforcement.

For Cabelas: We read that they do not allow overnight parking, but we stayed here March 2021 with no problem. We did not call ahead but got in late & there were 2-3 other rigs already parked there. We pulled in and had no problems. It was right off the interstate and was quick and easy to get to.

For Cabelas: We stayed here 10/6/2020. Called ahead and the person I spoke to said they did not allow overnight parking per the city, however she said no one is going to mess with you during your stay. They had non-potable water and a dump station. $5 fee for dump station or they’ll give you the code with any purchase or if you have their credit card it’s free. We actually dropped our fifth wheel off and drove to Mount Rushmore. Did not have any issues. We have a 44ft fifth wheel and did not have an issue finding a place to park. There were at least ten other RV’s in the parking lot. Great overnight stay.
