For Angels Camp RV and Camping Resort: Great place to stay for a few nights. Campground is clean, well maintained, and a bit rustic in appearance. Location works well if you wish to explore the gold country and its quaint western towns, or desire to visit a state or national park. For these reasons I highly recommend it.

For Angels Camp RV and Camping Resort: Stayed here mid July. Campground was full but very quiet. Sites are all built down a hill side and slightly offset from one another so you have great privacy between pull thru sites. Very clean and had a friendly staff. Huge fenced dog park separated for big and small dogs too. Enjoyed day trips exploring the Sonora pass and calavaras trees SP from here. Didn’t get to check out the town much thanks to the coronapacalypse. Will definitely stay again.

For Angels Camp RV and Camping Resort: We stayed here in August while on our way south. We were very pleased with the parks setting and location to the many nearby attractions. Upon arrival, we met Dennis, the new manager and his staff which were all very helpful and enthusiastic about making us feel welcome. I gave this park a 5 star rating because of setting and the staff. Sites are gravel but fairly level, with most having nice shade trees. They have a pool, but no spa which was fine with us. I could not get tv reception and no cable, but we didn’t come here to watch tv! Verizon had about 1-2 bars of LTE which allowed retrieving email and some web surfing. WiFi was available but on the slow side. It’s the perfect location to check out Calaveras Big Trees, Murphy’s, Angels Camp, New Melones Reservoir, Mark Twain’s Cabin on Jackass Hill and many more places. For those without RV’s, they have cabins and tent sites. We plan to come back and stay again to further check out the area. This feels like camping but with full hookups!
