For Mountain Shadows Campground: Large sites with lots of trees. Washrooms are clean and the showers are free with hot water. Staff was friendly and helpful. I paid about $42 for a site with power and water. Sani dump on the way out is included. Great park. Shows how it should be done.

This campground is owned by the town of Sparwood and it's excellent. The staff are cheerful and helpful and the spots are well trees and pretty well spaced. Lots of shade, this isn't a KOA parking lot. The bathrooms / showers are really nice as well. A great place to stay on Hwy 3. It is close to the highway which doesn't bother me but might be an issue for light sleepers.
The Chinese restaurant across the highway was quite good too.
