For Sandy Point Beach Campground: We were looking for campground in Salmon Arm that would be convenient to the annual Roots and Blues music festival. We're self-contained and don't need facilities other than an occasional shower. We camped here on a weekend in mid-August. Our trip to Salmon Arm was a last minute decision and this CG was the only CG that had a site available. It is a large CG, right on Shuswap Lake and 10 minutes from the festival. The staff was friendly and helpful. The CG was clean. The showers were clean with ample hot water and water pressure. The sites were mostly level and gravel. Sites were quite small and very close together. Most of the sites were for seasonal campers, including built-ins and landscaping with a few sites for transient campers. There was good ATT and Verizon cell coverage while roaming on Rogers service. This CG lost a star for the small sites and gained one for location and friendly staff. There is a beach with boating access and a playground at the CG. Salmon Arm is 10 minutes away with all services. And an annual Roots and Blues Festival.
