For Homolovi Ruins State Park: I40 seen on the distance, not heard unless upwind. Bathhouse clean, well-maintained, showers hot and ample. Do visit the info center, learn about awesome views of painted desert. Sites are spacious, little privacy, but sunsets are magnificent.

Laura

For Homolovi Ruins State Park: Came in during a cold, very windy day. Someone in the reviews called Winslow- Windsblow! Excellent description. After almost two full days of cold and heavy winds, and not much to do in cold weather around here, I as ready to go. But we had a four days reservation and the weather cleared, so glad it did. We were happy with our 30 amp site, the other reviews are very accurate. Clean, newish/updated feel to the facilities. Gave it four stars due to lack of active hosting, and given the sunshine here a Ramada would be nice for this kind of place to help with sun and provide the potential to block some of the wind. The ruins are easy to see and worth the effort, and there is a nice, but small visitor’s center on site. We loved Winslow, the Safeway there was well stocked, which surprised us. We also went to see the sites in town, Standin’ on the Corner (complete with the flat bed Ford), was cute, but do not miss the La Posada Hotel and its restaurant, and the Rock Art Canyon Ranch. Both were spectacular and made our four day visit with two days of bad weather worth it and a pleasant surprise. If I come back, a short stay at the free county campground south of town is a good option, dry camping on a pretty lake, for free.

Chuck

For Homolovi Ruins State Park: Stayed just prior to Christmas, cold nights but ok days, and for $20 a night with power and an available waste dump and fresh water it is a nice place to stay. First night one other RV and a tent camper, next night looked to be two of us.
The ruins are ok, but gives you something to do. Plan to return again.

Jerry

For Homolovi Ruins State Park: Excellent campground. This small (@53 sites) campground is on the open prairie west of Winslow,AZ. It offers excellent paved campsites, 30 and 50 amps, ample restrooms, good (at least Verizon) phone service, and some TV signal. Campsites are mostly level but facilities reversed for hookups on many camp sites. Large and tidy dump station at park exit. You can reserve on line with AZ park reservation site. Max fee I saw was $25 for pull thru plus $5 res. fee on line.
Also there are two Hopi excavation sites to investigate as well as hiking and biking trails. Nice visitor center with helpful employees. We loved it there and stayed over another day to look around more. Jerry

Nadina

For Homolovi Ruins State Park: Excellent campground! Agree with other reviewer's. Only $25 for electric and water, August 2017. Very level ground, clean restrooms. Great views and quiet!

Michael A

For Homolovi Ruins State Park: Agree with all the other viewers. One of the best campgrounds we have been in. Everything has a clean newish feel. Sites are well spaced, hard paved, and level. Good tasting water. A+ shower and bathrooms. We were just looking for an overnight, but could easily see spending a few days. $25 April 2017. Very reasonable, especially after $35 per night Calif State parks that were consistently sub-par at best.

Kat

For Homolovi Ruins State Park: Great campground either as a weekend destination or a stop over for the night while traveling I-40.
Easy off/on 1 to 2 miles from I-40 but no road noise.
Beautiful views and sunsets.
53 sites 30/50 amp also non elec. available
Shower house with 4 shower rooms, clean
Beautiful visitors center with even better views than campground area. Two different sites to view runins are great, relatively easy to moderate hicks but they are closed off at 5PM
