For Pine Flat Campground: We have enjoyed this campground many times over the years. It’s so close to West Fork Trail & Slide Rock, quiet & peaceful right up against the red rock & on oak creek. (not deep enough to swim at this area but still a gentle creek) It’s always very clean & the camp hosts keep up driving around in their golf cart offering ice, wood & being sure generators & music are off at night. So it’s a peaceful, beautiful, safe & secure spot for everyone. It is considered primitive because it only offers fresh water spickets, trash & vaulted toilets. They have always had a shower agreement with Cave Springs down the road if you need a shower. I like the spots closest the creek because you are close to the canyon & it shades you by 2pm in the warm summer plus you are away from the road. We have always gotten a first come first serve spot when we’ve gone last minute. Only problem is that people are catching on how wonderful this location is now the reservable spots are always FULL.
