For KOA Journey Picacho Tucson: Pulled in for an overnight stop and got a spike in one of our 5th wheel tires. We were in two vehicles, so I pulled the extra vehicle into a vacant spot temporarily while we figured out what to do with the tire, and the owner (?) immediately came over to tell me to move the car. The park was nearly empty, and I explained that we had a problem with the tire. She didn’t care and told me to move the car. When I asked why, she said “Because I’m the owner, that’s why.” Later, as we were trying to get the bad tire off, our lug wrench was too big, so we went to her trailer to see if they had another one we could borrow, but she wouldn’t answer the door. Not a very friendly or accommodating place, and the trains ran all night.

For KOA Journey Picacho Tucson: Usually happy with KOA's but not this one. Water and electric only site was $43.75. All dirt and gravel. Opposite a horse corral and being in the last row saw pet owners all day long with dogs relieving themselves. No Wifi, only at office, no cable.!! Realized cancellation policy too late so had to stick it out for 9 days...still lost a pile of money but that was all we could take for the dust and highway traffic noise. Forgot and left bathroom windows open one day...and our bathroom had a coating of dust 1/2 thick. We were booked for 16 days. Monthly rate advertised way cheaper so owner did refund and charge us monthly rate for our 9 day stay. But had to pay hydro. Get this. I have the office both meter reading before and at check out and I was also charged a $6.00 meter reading fee. Never again and it now makes me leery of other KOAS. Stay just up the road at PicahonState Park for $30/night for water and electric same as this park if only we had known before we booked in. Big rigs can get into park too.

For KOA Journey Picacho Tucson: Sites were wide, very nicely landscaped with local cactus and other plants, site was a level, Water and Electric were fine and bathrooms were very clean. There is some highway noise but it did not keep us awake. Hosts were very helpful and friendly.

For KOA Journey Picacho Tucson: Arrived in late November with the intention of staying 4 months. Left after 3 days.Sites are long and level staff is friendly, train tracks and busy interstate next to park made sleeping through the night difficult, very dusty area lots of blowing dust from agriculture surroundings. We use Verizon cell and wifi as a carrier and service here was one to two bars signal strength max which made for slow and delayed internet

For KOA Journey Picacho Tucson: I stayed for a weekend by myself, in a tent. I had a great time! It was very relaxing and not too many people there. The staff was very friendly. The tent site was nice and had everything I wanted, like a fire pit, a grill, and a picnic table. The only bad thing is all the noise from the freeway all night and the trains go by constantly all night long and blasts it's horn right by the park. But over all it was a really fun time. Also nice pool and club room.
