For Woody Mountain Campground: We stayed at over 40 campgrounds between April - September 2024. This was one of our favorite camp spots. Flagstaff is the best part of Arizona, and the climate is different than the lower elevations... which is why we love flagstaff. But this campground makes you feel like youre really camping, but with all your modern conveniences. (The wifi sucks and we dont watch TV so I can't remember if they had cable.) The bathrooms were updated and incredibly nice. Possibly the nicest we saw the whole summer. The manager is kind and non-nosey. The rules are lax and everyone is easy going. I saw others say sites were small but ours was not. bigger than many we stayed at. room to set up a dog fence around our trailer, comes with a picnic table. Cute little older wooden park for kids. My kid loved it, but it's nothing special. Still, nice to have. They have their own bbq areas but allow you to set up your own if you want to. (we did) And enough space to set up bikes outside our trailer. Lots of squirrels and chipmunks make it fun to watch nature in a quiet woodsy setting. We are heading here every time we pass through flagstaff from now on. The only weird part was how the sites are set up is slightly confusing but it's because they clearly wanted to make them around the nature that existed instead of cutting down very old and beautiful trees. I appreciate it and would rather be at a weird angle compared to my neighbor anyway LOL

For Woody Mountain Campground: It is an older campground that needs some TLC. The road system is confusing. Some roads are actually campsites. There is quite a ditch, reverse speed bump? in one of the roads. The shade trees are nice during the summer. The electric does not have a breaker at the site. As soon as you plug in it is live. If you are concerned with arching you will need to turn off your main breaker in your RV. There is no 50 amp service. The pricing varies by the day.

For Woody Mountain Campground: Dirty, way overpriced, and deceptive credit card billing practices.

For Woody Mountain Campground: Nice campsite for $41.00/night including tax. Updates including clean “updated” bathrooms /laundry. Strong free Wi-Fi with option to buy high speed if you want it. There is a grill on site for breakfast or lunch. Sites are close by no closer than the usual private campground. Woodsy is a good description. We would stay here again.

Tennessee Voyager

For Woody Mountain Campground: We were there for three nights, used as a base for Grand Canyon and Painted Desert. Lost of tree but easy for a TT to navigate. Office help very friendly and helpful. Dirt and small gravel drive and slots. The only thing not sure about was the prices, after first day the rates went up(??). Must have missed something. Overall it was a nice place to stay.

Howell

For Woody Mountain Campground: The staff was VERY friendly and helpful. I’ve never stayed somewhere where the staff was so present and nice. The restrooms and laundry area were very clean. This place doesn’t seem to have permanent residents, which is a plus in my opinion. There are a lot of trees which can be obstacles, but are worth it for the views. We loved our stay!
