For Camp Robinson RV Park: After reading the reviews from 6-7 years ago, I took a chance anyway and am glad I did! The gate guard was very helpful. Checking in was a breeze. The campground has cement pads. 110 worked just fine in place of the 30 amp (bring your own plug!) No table. No bathhouse. The view is lovely…serene. I absolutely love hearing the bugle calls. Made my old Marine feel right at home!

For Camp Robinson RV Park: Don’t bother, asked if had 30 amp service. Said yes. Actually No. After we were routed to closed gate, finally got through open gate, found camp ground but couldn’t find bldg to ck in, had to come back almost to gate, pd & got assigned site. Pulled in, opened elect box & 20 or 50 amp. Had to go get refund then head west till found private campground. Please don’t waste your time, no one knows what they’re doing.

For Camp Robinson RV Park: Sites not occupied by long term residents are very small, old and very difficult to access.

For Camp Robinson RV Park: Confusing to even get on the base. Found the camp but not how to check in. Phone call told us to go to bldg. #5130. No idea where that was on base. Electric hookup was only 15 not 30 or 50.

For Camp Robinson RV Park: Weirdest (most frustrating) check in of all mil famcamps we have encountered (we have been to a lot). Go here, no go here, no go here. When we got to PEC building the young woman perhaps 18-22 had absolutely no clue on how to check us in. It was on a Friday of Veterans weekend. Not very clear instructions on where to camp except do not camp in site 12 (2 actual sections and only one that is usable for those passing through). By the way no one told us this, but they have you write your name, address and credit card company and full card number on a small sheet of paper. Something I was not prepared for and would not allow it ever again (we were tired and already fed up with the check in).
Site. Basically level. Leafs and sticks galore. Not best configuration for sewer, but workable. Little bit of grade on the roads prior to back or drive onto the RV pad we chose. Our hitch dug in. The base itself is a very nice base and a great exchange. I gave it a 3 star only based on price $13.
The SGM called next day to charge our card and I shared my experience and how they could at least train the young girl on proper customer processing so it was not so frustrating. Let's just say after the conversation I have no doubt anything will change.
Cheap stay. It worked, but based on my experience we will just push on to a Walmart in the inner city.

For Camp Robinson RV Park: A hidden gem if you like camping more than Famcamping. All sites are in the woods near the lake. We spent a night in the new section. Gravel roads with a cement pad. Strange check-in procedure; get to park, drop, go to post HQ billeting and check in. No showers, bathrooms, or port-o-pots, and no dumpster or trash cans. Very quiet. $13 a night.
