Ramblin Rogue
For White Rock Mountain Recreation Area: Primitive camping and cabins with a lodge only, No RV hook-ups so don't make the drive expecting any luxuries. If Shores Lake is Open it has water and electric but was closed in Fall '21. We were Camp Hosts at White Rock and it is well worth the drive in your car for the magnificent views and hiking trails. Built by the CCC in 1937 it's cool place to visit and the fall colors are awesome!!!

For White Rock Mountain Recreation Area: $15/night. 2 mile "rim trail" hike with great views of the surrounding Ozark National Forest (and beyond!) all around, additional hiking trails accessible from there as well. A well-stocked store, all kept very clean by on-site staff, quiet. A great place to visit and stay! It is also possible to drive up there and pay $3 for a day pass to access the views and hiking trails.
