For Hoover RV Park: I don’t know where to start! This was a stop we use to look forward to, but not anymore. We made a reservation for lot 166 we have dogs and there is grass right outside the door. When we got here someone was in our space and the park was very full. Called the office three time no answer. We finally get a call back and they say their sorry someone’s in out space we’ll give you another one. So they gave us a crappy space that dose not fit our 39’ 5th wheel. We notice that the park is looking run down, dirty and dog crap everywhere! This place has gone down hill from our previous visits, someone needs to manage it. Never again, it’s our last time coming here.

For Hoover RV Park: Great for a one night stop but be warned there is nobody onsite to address and issues. We booked site 150 and found it occupied upon our arrival. We moved to another site after placing several calls, stopping in the sports complex and sending an email. The sites are short, meaning they say 45’, that means 45’ from end to end. Parking your tow vehicle is an issue. Such an issue the navigating around the property is very difficult. Also watch out for little children running everywhere. Don’t bother following the arrows on the ground as nobody else does, resulting in the potential to be parked door to door. Fine for a night but they really need to have someone onsite to keep some type of order.

For Hoover RV Park: This is a huge rv fhu parking lot within a sports complex. We used this parking lot as an overnighter. Upon arrival, our assigned space was not large enough for us and the people next to the site hooked into the wrong utilities. I tried getting ahold of anyone but no one was answering the phone as it was a Sunday. We moved to a different site and hoped no one had reserved it. The parking lot is quite tilty in places but is smooth. There is little to no shade so it is very hot. Make sure you have all of your windows covered with black out curtains as the parking lot lights are brutal. I appreciate the lights for being able to see if you come in late but it is not good for sleeping. The area is quiet once the splash pad and sporting events are done for the evening. Great place for families with little ones.

For Hoover RV Park: Pleasantly surprised. Yes, it’s a large parking lot with concrete pedestal islands but there are full-hookups, the grass in the surrounding area and the asphalt are well maintained, the AT&T signal is 4 bars, and there’s easy access to restaurants, shopping, and a micro-brewery. We’ll stay here again next time we’re passing through Hoover!

For Hoover RV Park: I have no problem with an overnighter being just a parking lot. The problem I have is being told that our spot would be long enough to accommodate our 33’ fifth wheel and truck. It is not. The person in the office only works until noon, and there is no one on site to resolve any problems. When you call the help line, it puts you on a loop that returns to the message from the person that only works until noon. The only other line is reservations and that is all they do, reservations. You have to unhook your rig and move the truck up a hill and around a corner, out of sight and in front of the stadium. Since we carry two generators in the back of our truck, no way was that going to work! We managed to leave our trailer butt about a foot into the driveway, squished to one side of the space and parked our truck sideways in front with the hood under our bedroom slide 🤬 There seems to be no security there at night .

For Hoover RV Park: This is our favorite stop when we are traveling on I20 to or from NC. (Yes it is off of 459 because we always bypass Birmingham) Hoover is a very affluent city and this is a great place to stay. Yes, it is full hookups in a parking lot but you have access to the complex to include the playground, an indoor walking track and locker room with showers.

For Hoover RV Park: This is essentially a parking lot with hookup pedestals, a few young trees. I live locally and overnight here when de-winterizing for a dry run. This RV park is part of the huge sports complex here, and is built primarily to serve folks attending events at the complex, at which time it can be full. Between major events, it is sparsely occupied. It’s a good, but pricey, location for visiting Hoover, and is convenient to I-459. Lots of places to eat or shop nearby, including Publix and Aldi grocery stores, and a Walmart.
