Stopped in when we encountered mecganical issues. I don’t know what’s up with these negative reviews. Staff was friendly, grounds were clean, hiking path by the water. Golf, tennis, fishing and the price for getting full hookups and all of tgr above was quite fair. We spent 2 great weeks here

Ignore outdated reviews - exceptionally clean, very spacious. One of best in the south- in class of Cheaha Mtn and Desota. Not a speck of trash - blooming landscape, wide paved roads, flat gravel campsites. Full hookup, good water pressure, modern connections
If someone does not think this is five star they need to go to a Hilton Hotel.

The spaces are decent size, and it is a large campground. They have propane and firewood, and the camp store is open from 8 to 5 daily. Staff seems friendly enough, but they were really ridiculously rigid regarding no refunds. We knew in less than 24 hours that we would not be able to stay for the week we paid for. They would not give us any refund!

Lots are nice and shady and reasonably spaced. Staff was super helpful when our schedule changed. It was no problem extending our stay a couple of days just a day or so before our scheduled arrival. We camped at Point Mallard Park in a Travel Trailer.

Campground was clean and in a decent location. Unfortunately no bathrooms were open, a real problem if you don't have full hookups. Most of the people there were long-term.

City-owned park. During our stay, an estimated 90% of the park was occupied by either seasonal longterm and a lot of transient workers with loud diesel trucks. There are very few sites (perhaps a dozen) available for visitors. So it's more of a mobile home park of RVs than a campground. There are so many units that have wooden steps, tarped storage tents, dog pens etc. Also, with a modest rain, much of the park ends up with standing water. Fortunately, this didn't affect the sites for visitors as much. It is reasonably priced if you don't mind the above information.

Very nice Campground! The campground is very clean including the bathhouses the store and campsites. This campground is in a park which has a Golf Course, Waterpark, Tennis Courts, Ice Rink, Driving Range and a 3 mile Walking/Biking trail that stays on the rivers edge. BEAUTIFUL!!! Most of the campsites are in wooded areas with the exception of some being in the open. Very nice employees.

This is a city owned park that has a lot of rules. Unfortunately no one follows them or enforces them. People here don't care about the other campers. Setup kennels and throw a bunch of barking dogs in it. Ride around in golf carts with a bunch of loud drunks playing loud music until 2 or 3 in the morning. What quiet time. Could be a great park but severely mismanaged. Scott the manager knows and does not care. The city of Decatur could have a gem but instead it is s$!!hole.

Three stars for cleanliness but this place is a parking lot. Don't be fooled that you will be near any water or mallards. Just a ton of huge rigs in the trees, noisy and lots of golf carts racing by.
