For Hidden Cove Outdoor Resort:
This was our first experience at a Thousand Trails. The campground is located on beautiful Lewis Smith Lake, and it was not overly busy at this time year. One of the things we found disappointing was that All of the lake view sites are occupied by long term residents. So if you are a Thousand Trail member, using your membership just for travel, tough luck, you can’t camp with a lake view. Otherwise we did enjoy exploring the local area. The pool area was nice and clean.
We also noted the laundry rooms are in need of repairs, I did let corporate know and was told new equipment was due to arrive by months in, but until then do not count on using the laundry room at the park.

For Hidden Cove Outdoor Resort: If you are here to play on Lake Smith this campground works, though Seasonals/permanents seem to take up all of the waterfront and water view sites. Nice clubhouse and the upper bath house in the new section is very nice. The old section is pretty run down. I had to use pliers to turn on our water. The newer, upper section is nicer and mostly level but all gravel.

For Hidden Cove Outdoor Resort: Park is split into the larger A section that has 50 amp and the small B section that has 30 amp. It is mostly permanent weekend sites, so during the week in the late winter it was like staying in a ghost town. Has nice new washer/driers, a swimming pool, a huge “clubhouse†overlooking the lake, and a boat ramp and docks. I started in B1 which has privacy and then switched to B13 which has a front-window view of the lake. The location WiFi did not work at all. Verizon is very slow and only worked with my booster. It is a pretty, rural location, I just took a star off because of the connectivity issues.

For Hidden Cove Outdoor Resort: What a gem! This small park is well maintained with large full hook-up, 50 amp sites. We had no problem with our 42’ fifth wheel. It’s a little hard to find, but just follow the directions they email you and you’ll be okay. Only issue is cell coverage which, at least for Verizon, is poor. We will stay here again.

For Hidden Cove Outdoor Resort: Went to check it out. The staff we encountered was very nice. Rode all through the grounds and loved everything about it except. The sites are all taken by permanent campers, was only about 6 sites that are available for short term campers. Was disappointed by that. Would love to spend a few days a month there but can't. Maybe add some good shady sites for those locals that want to visit.

For Hidden Cove Outdoor Resort: A little out of the way, but well kept up. All the people running it have been great. They gave us ideas on things to go see and do. Sites are nice and easy in/out. WIFI is okay pretty low powered but could still use. The daily Fish Feeding is neat, giant catfish come up. Overall no complaints.
