For Wind Creek State Park: We stayed one night passing through. We were there the second week of August and even though we had a reserved spot when we arrived they told us we could move if we saw something we liked better. The only negative was the first site, reserved site, backed up to another site. We would have been looking directly into someone else’s camper. Because there were a lot of empty sites we chose to move. It looks like a great place to visit when we have more time and cooler weather. I would stay again.

For Wind Creek State Park: Very nice state park on a huge lake. Many sites have direct access to the lake. Stayed overnight in 40’ MH with tow. Had a back-in site and it was okay to negotiate turns and get situated in it. Did some fishing in the evening but had no nibbles. Sigh. Would come back here for a week or more.

For Wind Creek State Park: Frendly staff, clean park. Only negative was the sewer was block by a pine cone. The staff came out to fix but wasn't able to until after we left. I would go again.

For Wind Creek State Park: We loved it here. It was clean and beautiful, on one of the prettiest lakes we have stayed on. Great hiking trails all around. This is a very large campground, so pick your spot carefully. The bathrooms were dated but clean. The volunteer staff were all super friendly. My only comments are no soap in the bathrooms to wash your hands and only only large dumpster at the exit, otherwise it was perfect.

Six for the King
For Wind Creek State Park: We came during a VERY full weekend. Labor Day! Whew! And, yet, it did not seem overly crowded even though the park was almost at capacity in the rv area. The bathrooms were super clean and smelled nice, the area was clean and free of trash and it was neither loud or irritating during a busy weekend. Hands down one of the most beautiful landscapes and maintained parks. Great job! Alabama parks!!

For Wind Creek State Park: July, 2014...We enjoyed being able to swim down the hill while still being on our own campsite. It's like we had a mini yard to extend our awning, set out our bikes, and set up a grill area too. Each lot had it's own fire pit. Our internet-cell service worked fine. We are still working, and need those services. My son didn't want to leave. The park was very clean and busy. It looked like a lot of good fishing was going on too!

Scamper camper
For Wind Creek State Park: Without a doubt, the very best campground in the southeast. It has almost everything you could want except a pool. Lots of folks go here to spend a two week vacation. Tie your boat up at campsite, paved roads for bicycling, beach, playgrounds, large pavilions, marina, fishing piers, boat launch inside campground, great bass and crappie. Plenty of large shady campsite sewer available on some. My favorite, as you can probably tell. GO THERE.
