For Deadman Lake Campground - Tetlin National Wildlife Refuge: Oh my. What is not to like. Well, not water and just pit toilets. But the few sites on the water have nice lake views through the trees. The campsites are FREE (donations accepted and deserved). Free firewood. FREE CANOES! With paddles and life preserves. We were in late August and there were only a few mosquitoes. Road to campground a bit over a mile but was recently graded when we were there.
