For Oceanside RV Park: What wonderful improvements since our last visit in 2016. Fabulous views from either of the 2 rows of campsites. Lots of room for big rigs. An easy walk to nearby restaurants and shopping. The camp hosts are so attentive and helpful. We will stay here again.

For Oceanside RV Park: Best place to stay in Haines. Ocean front views. Park has been updated since 2019 reviews. Completely blacktopped so no dust and gravel like most AK parks. Owner has paid attention to small details ; flower beds, grass surrounding exterior, a new building that has a Lounge area with leather sofas, tables and state of the art laundromat. All sites have water, power and sewer. Great cell service with Verizon. Campground has wiFi but we did not use. Only two rows of campsites - You are not packed in like sardines!, They offer Good Sams disc. We paid $45 plus disc.
Class A’s with tow cars will fit.

For Oceanside RV Park: We were looking for a place to stay that would be convenient to visit Haines by foot or bicycle. We’re self-contained and don’t use the facilities. We stayed on a weeknight in early June in our 25 foot (8 meter) MH.
This RV park is in the perfect location for visiting Haines. It’s one block from downtown and on the canal/inlet with great views. The host and owner are friendly and helpful. The CG is essentially a large clean gravel parking lot with two rows. There are 20 or so back in sites in the row nearest the road with full hookups for $37. There are also about 20 primitive (no hook-ups) sites in the row right on the water for $35. (Photos on their web site are not updated.) There are picnic tables and fire rings scattered around to share among the campers. The sites are mostly level. There are no trees and no shade. There are token-op showers and a laundry available 24 hours in the CG office. There’s good ATT service and no Verizon service. Twelve of the full-hook up sites and four of the primitive sites were occupied during our stay.
Haines is easily walkable. There are several restaurants, museums and gift shops in town. The owner/host at the CG or staff at the nearby Visitor Center can hep with questions. Fort Seward is an interesting self-guided historical tour of one part of town. The Haines Sheldon Museum is a well-organized/curated history of Haines with a focus on the Tlingit natives 1850-1900 when they transitioned into the multi-national mission that became Haines.

Dave
For Oceanside RV Park: Most friendliest park I've stayed in. The owner, Joyce Town is a native Alaskan and is continually making sure her guests have everything they need to experience the area. She buys local crab off local boats and puts on 2 to 3 crab feeds ( potlucks) weekly. A lot of fun. A real way to get to know who you're camping with. We've made lasting friends while staying there. Her husband, Kerry operates a mechanic and boat repair shop and can assist with problems if needed.
