Excellent and charming small town campground, an oasis of trees and water after driving many miles on I-70. 15 pull through gravel sites are under giant trees next to the (very small) city lake; ten more concrete sites are in the grassy field where the railroad roundhouse once sat. All have electric, water, and excellent wifi. The shower house next to the lake is dated, but the one near the concrete sites is new, spanking clean, and has the desirable single person toilet/shower combination. By evening on a Friday in August most of the sites under the trees were taken, and several of the concrete sites. Many thanks to the local Rotary Club and other sponsors for creating this delightful spot!

Arrived on a Monday afternoon and there were only three or four other RVs that stayed overnight. Beautiful little campground right on the river. A nice little town and very friendly of them to provide such a beautiful place for travelers to spend a night or two. Some very interesting history here and worth spending an extra night if you have time.

We have camped here several times over the past 10 years when we travel west. They have made some nice improvements including new picnic tables and playground equipment . There is a new section with paved pads that are very level. The older loop is shaded but not as level. Quiet and clean. Decent space between sites.

Delightful little campground right on the river and close to the center of town. We arrived at 6:30 pm on a Monday in early June. There were still plenty of open campsites. All were level with water and 30/50 amp hookups bathrooms were clean and well maintained. Showers were roomy with good water pressure. We live near Denver and have family in St. Louis, and will definitely be stopping here again in the future.

What a wonderful find this little park is! We were getting gas at the Loves nearby and saw that the park was less than a mile away. So glad we checked it out! Wide pull through spots, lots of trees, fire ring. Painless self checkin. Set along a river, beautiful spot.

We stopped for an overnight and really enjoyed our stay and the town. Sites were large and the facilities were old but very clean . For $25 we had water and 30 amps. Needed extension cord but no biggie. Only negative was the WiFi, it didn’t work. No reservations available but we showed up at 7pm on a Saturday and there were still 3 sites open.
