Altus AFB Famcamp

Main gate is on Falcon road. If your Rving the Famcamp is the first left after going through the gate (Altus road). After making the turn onto Altus road the Famcamp is the first left turn. About one hundred yards from the turnoff of Falcon road. 12 sites FHU. Outdoor recreation has swipe cards for the laundry facility located at the visitor quarters building VQ79. It is located on the left side of 3rd street as you travel towards the fitness center. You will need to go to ODR located on 1st street to get the swipe card. A $10 deposit for the card. Returned when card is returned. To get there when you come through the main gate on Falcon road continue east to the roundabout. Take the first exit on to 1st street. They are the first building on the right. Be sure to ask when the swipe cards were last updated. Mine was expired and I had to run around and get it updated at the Red river Inn. That’s something the ORD supervisor should be doing. Was not impressed with that supervisor. Nothing but excuses. Overall the post is small. Nice fitness center, small BX and Commissary. Would stay again.

Once you make that left turn onto Altus road the Famcamp is the next left turn about 100 yards. The commissary and BX are across the street. If you need to laundry you will need to go to the outdoor recreation building on 1st street south of the roundabout which would be the first exit on the roundabout after entering from the main gate on Falcon road. They are the first building on the right after leaving the roundabout. You can get the swipe card from them. A $10 deposit for the key card. Once returned you get your deposit back. The laundry facility is in the visitor quarters located in building VQ79 which is on avenue B just before the fitness facility on the left. The town of Altus has a very nice walking trail around Altus reservoir which is on falcon road about 1.5 miles from base. We stayed 2 nights in May 2026

$22/day. 10 sites, level concrete pads, full hookups, 30/50 amp. Across the street from the Commissary and BX. Laundry available at the base lodging, no charge.Staff at the Outdoor Rec Center are most helpful. Ask for Christian!

Stayed for 5 weeks! Hated to leave. Full hookups on concrete pads. 12 sites. Commissary, shopette, gas station and exchange all located across the street. Walking paths everywhere, amazing gym and golf course. It has a car wash and auto hobby shop. We pretty much used all the amenities. Outdoor Rec staff were very nice and easy to work with.

Spent a night there - just passing through. No frills, but almost everything you need. No laundry or bathhouse, but good sized space with full hookups and pretty fast WiFi. BX, Shopette, & Commissary right across the street. Some noise at night, it is a training base and that’s to be expected. MWR office was very helpful.

Great small RV park, only 12 spots. Staff supplies great support. Excellent location, short walk to BX & commissary, pool, putt-putt golf, gym short distance away.
